Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Applio, a web-based job application tracking and resume management platform. By creating an account or using Applio in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Applio.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the legal working age in your jurisdiction (whichever is older), to use Applio. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
1.2 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. Applio reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account where information is found to be false, misleading, or incomplete.
1.3 One Account Per Person
Each individual may maintain only one Applio account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, billing, or account bans is a violation of these Terms.
2. Your Content and Responsibilities
2.1 Ownership of Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Applio, including resumes, cover letters, job application notes, and any other materials. By uploading content, you grant Applio a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
2.2 Content Standards
You agree not to upload, transmit, or share content that violates any applicable law, infringes third-party intellectual property rights, contains malware or malicious code, is offensive or harassing, or belongs to another person without their explicit written permission.
2.3 Prohibited Use
You agree not to use automated bots or scraping tools to access Applio, abuse or attempt to disrupt our infrastructure, reverse-engineer our software, use Applio to harass any individual, attempt unauthorized access to other accounts, or resell Applio without written consent.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments
3.1 Free and Pro Plans
Applio offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited job applications, AI-powered tools, advanced analytics, and data export. Feature availability is subject to change with reasonable notice.
3.2 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on the plan selected at checkout. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel prior to the renewal date.
3.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Applio does not store your payment card details. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.
3.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
3.5 No Refunds
All payments to Applio are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. This includes cases where you cancel mid-cycle, fail to use Pro features, or are dissatisfied with AI-generated output.
3.6 Price Changes
Applio reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
4. Liability and Disclaimers
4.1 Service Provided "As-Is"
Applio is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that Applio will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
4.2 No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes
Applio is an organizational tool. We make no representations or guarantees that using Applio will result in job interviews, job offers, employment, or career advancement of any kind. Employment outcomes depend entirely on factors outside our control.
4.3 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Applio and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Applio. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Applio in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
4.4 Data Loss
While Applio takes reasonable precautions including regular backups and encrypted storage, we are not liable for accidental data loss or corruption. You are encouraged to maintain your own copies of important files.
5. Account Termination
5.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, and backup copies purged within 90 days.
5.2 Termination by Applio
Applio reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users. No refunds are issued upon termination for cause.
6. Intellectual Property
All software, design, branding, and content created by Applio are our exclusive property and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from Applio's proprietary content without express written consent.
If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose.
7. Career Outcomes Disclaimer
Applio is a productivity tool designed to help you stay organized. Career success is influenced by factors including your qualifications, economic conditions, employer decisions, interview performance, and timing. Applio makes no guarantees about your ability to secure employment or achieve any professional outcome.
8. Changes to These Terms
Applio reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of Applio after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Applio operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
